Explain the key points of low-voltage withdrawable switchgear

The main function of the switchgear is to open, close, control and protect electrical equipment during the power generation, transmission, distribution and energy conversion of the power system. The components in the switchgear mainly include circuit breakers, disconnectors, load switches, operating mechanisms, transformers and various protective devices. There are many ways to classify switchgear. For example, according to the installation method of the circuit breaker, it can be divided into removable switchgear and fixed switchgear; or according to the different cabinet structures, it can be divided into open switchgear, metal-enclosed switchgear, and metal-enclosed armored switchgear; according to the voltage level, it can be divided into high-voltage switchgear, medium-voltage switchgear and low-voltage switchgear.


Low-voltage switchgear can be divided into fixed and withdrawable types in terms of structure.


The fixed type can meet the requirements of each electrical component being reliably fixed in a certain position in the cabinet, and the cabinet is generally cubic in shape.


The withdrawable type consists of a fixed cabinet and a removable device part equipped with switches and other main electrical components.

The movable part of the low-voltage withdrawable switch cabinet should be light when it is moved, and the positioning should be reliable after moving in. In addition, drawers of the same type and specification can be reliably interchanged. The processing method of the cabinet part of the withdrawable type is basically similar to that of the fixed type. However, due to the interchangeability requirements, the accuracy of the cabinet must be improved, and the relevant parts of the structure must have sufficient adjustment. As for the movable device part, it must be able to be moved and reliably accommodate the main components, so it must have higher mechanical strength and higher accuracy, and its relevant parts must also have sufficient adjustment.

 

The process characteristics of manufacturing drawer-type low-voltage cabinets are:
(1) The fixed and movable parts must have a unified reference datum;
(2) The relevant parts must be adjusted to the best position, and special standard tooling should be used during adjustment, including standard cabinets and standard drawers;
(3) The error of key dimensions cannot exceed the tolerance;
(4) The interchangeability of drawers of the same type and specification must be reliable.


Since low-voltage withdrawable switchgear has the characteristics of safe operation, reliable operation, compact structure, convenient maintenance, beautiful appearance and high degree of standardization, it has been widely used in low-voltage power distribution systems. Low-voltage switchgear is suitable for power plants, petroleum, chemical industry, metallurgy, textile, high-rise buildings and other industries for power transmission, distribution and power conversion.


Through more than ten years of development, low-voltage withdrawable switchgear has made great improvements in body structure, drawer structure and busbar installation method. In low-voltage power distribution systems, the selection of protective electrical appliances and control electrical appliances is related to the electrical safety and use of electrical equipment. The correct selection of protective electrical appliances not only protects the line conductor from damage, but more importantly, prevents electric shock caused by insulation damage and fire caused by overheating of wires.
