There are many types of common power fittings. Among them, suspension clamps are used to hang the conductor on the insulator string to keep it in a vertical position on the overhead line. Strain clamps are used to fix the conductor and bear the tension of the conductor. They are commonly found at the corners and terminals of the line. Connecting fittings are used to connect the insulator string with the tower, conductor and other components, such as ball head hanging rings, bowl head hanging plates, etc.
The clamps of power fittings are as follows:
Parallel groove clamp: mainly used to fix the conductor, suitable for the construction of overhead power lines.
Suspension clamp: mainly used to suspend the conductor insulator string so that the conductor can be evenly distributed between the poles and towers.
Strain clamp: used to fix the conductor, accept the conductor tension, and hang the conductor to the tension string group or power fittings.
Conductor end clamp: mainly used to fix the terminal of the wire and cable on the wire insulator string, and also used for the lightning arrester terminal.
