Power cable specifications and models and power cable application sites

Last time, we introduced the classification and identification methods of common cables. Today, we continue to introduce the relevant knowledge of common cables.

There are five main types of power cable specifications:

VV cable (PVC insulated PVC sheathed power cable): laid indoors, in pipes and tunnels, the cable cannot withstand external forces, the cable models are 450/750V, 0.6/1kV, 1.8/3kV, 3.6/6kV, 6/6kV, 6/10kV, 10/15kV, 15/20kV, 20/25kV, 25/30kV, 30/35kV, etc.

VV22 cable (PVC insulated steel belt armored PVC sheathed power cable): laid in streets, public places, corridors, earth walls, etc., can withstand mechanical external forces, but not large external force extrusion. The cable models are 450/750V, 0.6/1kV, 1.8/3kV, 3.6/6kV, 6/6kV, 6/10kV, 10/15kV, 15/20kV, 20/25kV, 25/30kV, 30/35kV, etc.

YJV cable (cross-linked polyethylene insulated PVC sheathed power cable): laid indoors, in tunnels and pipelines, the cable cannot withstand mechanical external forces, the cable models are 450/750V, 0.6/1kV, 1.8/3kV, 3.6/6kV, 6/6kV, 6/10kV, 10/15kV, 15/20kV, 20/25kV, 25/30kV, 30/35kV, etc.

VV32 cable (PVC insulated steel wire armored PVC sheathed power cable): laid in shafts and elevator rooms, can withstand mechanical external forces, but not large external forces. The cable models include 450/750V, 0.6/1kV, 1.8/3kV, 3.6/6kV, 6/6kV, 6/10kV, 10/15kV, 15/20kV, 20/25kV, 25/30kV, 30/35kV, etc.

ZR-VV42 (flame-retardant PVC insulated steel wire armored PVC sheathed power cable): laid in shafts and elevator rooms, with flame-retardant properties, can withstand mechanical external forces, but not large external forces. The cable models are 450/750V, 0.6/1kV, 1.8/3kV, 3.6/6kV, 6/6kV, 6/10kV, 10/15kV, 15/20kV, 20/25kV, 25/30kV, 30/35kV, etc.

Power cables are conductors used to transmit and distribute electrical energy, and are often used in power systems, electromechanical equipment or industrial devices. The following are some common places of use:

Power systems: including transmission lines, distribution lines and substations, etc. Power cables can be used to transmit and distribute electrical energy.

Electromechanical equipment: used for internal wiring of electromechanical equipment, such as motors, pumps, fans, compressors, etc.

Industrial installations: used in industrial installations in factories, mining areas, oil fields, etc., such as wiring of production equipment, instruments and control systems.

Building complexes: used in power distribution systems in large buildings such as high-rise buildings and commercial complexes, transmitting electrical energy from substations to each floor.

Subways, tunnels and tunnel lighting: power cables are often used in lighting systems in subways, tunnels and other places to provide people with a safe and comfortable travel environment.

Underwater applications: including seabed laying, river and lake laying, etc., power cables can be used to connect underwater facilities, such as monitoring instruments, underwater sensors, etc.

Power cables are used in a wide range of occasions. When used in different places, specific factors need to be considered, such as environmental conditions, laying methods, voltage levels, etc. Therefore, when choosing power cables, you need to choose according to actual needs.
