Transformer oil pillows are generally divided into two types, and the oil level gauge also has different functions.
1: For capsule oil pillows, in order to completely isolate the transformer oil level from the air, its oil level gauge indirectly displays the oil level. This type of oil pillow uses a small capsule bag at the bottom of the oil pillow to make it a separate oil circulation system. When the oil level of the oil pillow rises, the oil column pressure that compresses the small capsule bag increases, and the volume of the small capsule bag is reduced a little, so the oil level reflected in the oil meter is also higher, and its height is proportional to the oil level in the oil pillow; on the contrary, when the oil level in the oil pillow decreases, the oil column pressure that compresses the small capsule bag will also decrease, so that the volume of the small capsule bag will also increase relatively, and the oil level reflected in the oil meter will decrease a little, and its height is proportional to the oil level in the oil pillow. In other words, it is through the change of the oil level of the oil pillow that the pressure of the small capsule bag changes, so that the oil level indirectly and proportionally reflects the change of the oil level of the oil pillow.
2: For the diaphragm oil pillow, a magnetic oil gauge can be installed. The roller of the oil gauge linkage mechanism is not subject to any resistance on the film and can be extended and shortened freely and flexibly. There is a junction box on the upper part of the magnetic gauge, and the switch inside. When the oil level of the oil pillow reaches the highest or lowest position, the switch automatically closes and sends out an alarm signal.
